Students are responsible for finding companies or institutions where they will study before they are ready to work in the real world after graduation. This internship is important for students because, based on the various experiences of previous alumni, it will determine the world of work in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Maulida Fitria Averoes, a 2017 alumni of the communication department, is one of those who have experienced this. In the Teatime live Instagram, the International Program of Communication Department, Universitas Islam Indonesia (IPC UII), regularly holds a casual chat on January 7, 2022. Fia, Maulida&#8217;s nickname, told how she prepared herself for an internship. This alumni, who are now a User Success Executive at Sirclo, also shared how he went through his apprenticeship.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Listing<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Company<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In a casual chat entitled &#8216;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Virtue of Internship in determining future career<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216;, Fia admitted that she began to prepare herself for an internship long before the internship period came. &#8220;I started researching which company I would\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">apply<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to. What company, what field\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">base<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, and what is the vision and mission,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;I started listing the company since November,&#8221; said Fia. If it is calculated from the internship process, it is still 3-4 months before the term internship starts. Fia also prepared a lot of\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">lists<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. She even\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">applied<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to 10 companies she was aiming for. &#8220;Who knows if I don&#8217;t enter, I still have other reserves,&#8221; said Fia.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Lecture assignments, Overview of the World of Work<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Often students are faced with tasks that are a pile of piles and don&#8217;t know what it&#8217;s for. This has also happened to Fia. She remembers that she was assigned the task of mapping\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">stakeholders<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0while in college. She even complained, &#8220;What&#8217;s the point of doing this task,&#8221; Fia complained at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On the contrary, now, when she is already in the world of work, she is grateful that she used to get these courses. &#8220;If you have a lot of assignments, believe me, they are used,&#8221; said Fia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fia, whose work is now related to many\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">stakeholders<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, is grateful to have received mapping course\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">stakeholder<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. &#8220;I&#8217;m holding a\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">corporate client<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0business in agriculture,\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">internal and external stakeholders<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Then how should we communicate with them.
